Rascal Flatts To Perform At the 2011 CMT Awards
May 3, 2011Country music’s hottest stars will align in Nashville for the 2011 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, including performers Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland. Marking the 10th anniversary of country music’s first fan-voted awards show, the 2011 CMT MUSIC AWARDS will air LIVE on Wednesday, June 8 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com.

Rascal Flatts’ Fan Reaction at Stagecoach
May 2, 2011During the Rascal Flatts’ headlining performance at Stagecoach, concert-goers were getting texts about the death of Osama bin Laden and were stopping by the press tent to confirm the news.
Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus took the main stage and let the fans know how he felt about the news: “That son of a bitch Osama bin Laden is dead.” He then said, “How about a ‘hell ya’ to the U.S. military,” and began a chant of “U.S.A! U.S.A!” which immediately erupted amongst the crowd of nearly 58,000. He closed out his comments by saying, “I speak from the bottom of my heart when I say Osama bin Laden, may you rest in pieces.” The band closed its show by performing a rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.

Rascal Flatts Nominated for Three 2011 CMT Music Awards!
April 27, 2011Rascal Flatts has been nominated for three 2011 CMT Music Awards. It was announced live on the Today Show by CMT’s Evan Farmer and hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.
Flatts are nominated for Video of the Year (“Why Wait”), Group Video of the Year (“Why Wait”), and Collaborative Video of the Year (“That Should Be Me” with Justin Bieber).
