The show was canceled for weather, something no human can control, so i don't know why people (Fotojohnyoc, Nolongerafan) are blaming RF for something out of their control, sure i'd be upset if my show was canceled but if your willing to not be fans of RF for something this small, you rely weren't fans in the first place.
I do not understannd why people are made at all 3 guys they did not do anything wrong!! They always do their best for their fans and one little thing happens and everyone gets in an uproar! You all should be supportive! I have loved them faithfully for 10 yrs and will stand all the way behind them!
The concert is completely cancelled. If tickets were purchased at Ticketmaster or venue, you take them back to that place to get a refund. If you had VIP tickets, an e-mail will be coming soon. hope that helps
Is the concert completely cancelled or what? I have had friends call me and say that they saw on the news that they are not rescheduling. I purchased tickets online and I need to know exactly how to get my money back. Could someone please give me some information because we keep checking the website and it just says information to come soon!
I would love to interject something here.......
I am from Dayton, Ohio. I grew up in Kettering and lived there until moving to Atlanta in 1993. Everyone in my abnormally large family still resides in Ohio, mostly between the Dayton and Columbus areas. I consider myself to be well educated for a high-school dropout and I find it annoying and almost embarrassing to read the recent posts from you whiny asses, putting the members of Rascal Flatts on blast, as though they had ANYTHING whatsoever to do with the cancellation of their show at the Nutter Center. The mean spirited things that you had to say and your less than well wishes as retaliation for an unfortunate ACT OF GOD shows a level of immaturity that makes me wonder if you respond to everything in such knee-jerk fashion. Think before you speak. In this case, make sure you are better informed about the music industry before posting remarks of such defamatory content and placing the blame on the heads of three guys who want nothing more than to play live for and entertain you. That is what they do. That is who they are. It has nothing to do with the fact that "Dayton is a smaller city so why waste time rescheduling there?" If it did and this is really how they felt about Dayton, I doubt RF would have scheduled the show in the first place. In an effort at connecting with their fans and bringing the show closer to them in their little hometowns, RF have, for years, asked fans where they would like for them to come and play. I mean really....Huntsville, Alabama and Columbus, Georgia.....back to back shows, doesn't speak volumes to you people? If not, then let me drop just a dime's worth of knowledge on you about business, scheduling, demand vs. venue availability, and yes...having to explain to those kids of yours that indeed, there is no Santa and that you have been lying to them all along with the intention of shattering their illusions and breaking their innocent little hearts just to teach them a hard lesson about who you can trust to be honest with you and who will lie to you from day one. You have the ability to keep your kids from that pain by simply not creating it and not lying to them in the first place. Rascal Flatts, the band, are decent and honest, professional entertainers who are more sincere and gracious than, I dare say, any of their contemporaries in the industry. The last thing these guys want to do is disappoint their religiously loyal fans. Rascal Flatts, the institution, the machine, the multi million dollar business that is run by a board of stuffy suits who, along with others having vested interests, ie; the insurance company who carries the massive amounts of liability necessary to allow the band to even play in public in the first place.... They have more say than the artist when it comes to making decisions that unfortunately will leave some ticket holders feeling disappointed. If the guys are able to get the label and/or promoter to reschedule...believe me. They WILL! I have seen it happen several times in the past. It may not be as soon as you would like it to be. It may be that you never have the opportunity to see them in Dayton, but understand that whatever say RF-the band, has in rescheduling and being able to make it up to you, they will move heaven and earth trying, because they love you, the fans in Dayton as much as the fans in any other geographic location, be it Metropolitan or Po-Dunk. So tell the kids that Santa is a nice thought and that everything working out exactly the way we want it to is not going to happen. And please think before you put into writing, words attacking the character and insulting and judging the integrity of others. The name calling just makes you sound small and bitter. As for your lack of temperance and self-control... it makes you sound spoiled and quite frankly, like you lack a good education. Sorry if it bites your butt to read, but sometimes the truth can hurt as much as much as it can heal.
Peace!
I cannot believe that in an industry based on fans suppport that you can conciously decide to cancel a show like this. What appeared to be a good faith decision initially has become one seemed to be based soley on greed and selfishness. Though not a major market by any means, every person here paid hard earned money for tickets, made plans for and evening out, and now have nothing. In addition, the fine folks at ticketmaster are able to keep fees!
O'well, at some point your run of success will end, and most of us will not ever have experienced that, but what I can say is...I am loyal to those who are loyal to me! Can you say that?
