I took my daughter and her best friend to see this show for her 17th b'day. They were amazing to say the least. Kirsten has been a fan for years now although This was her first concert to see them. I almost didn't go cuz the tickets were so expensive and the venue was so far away and on a school nite, but this was the only thing she kept asking for her b'day. She loves them that much, so how could I refuse. It was a magical night from the get go. We decided to eat at Outback and when we first arrived I told them this was Kirsten's 17th b'day and asked did they do anything special. They said they just gave her free dessert. While we were there this guy next to our booth at the bar was commenting on why it was so busy. The employees told him RF was in town and he's like "Who? I never heard of them." LOL. I figured he was just playing around cuz he kept going on bout RF. Didn't think much of it. Later when we went to pay our ticket the waiter told us our ticket had been paid for by the manager. I was shocked cuz we ordered like 80.oo worth of food and appetizers. I told the waiter I would like to see him to thank him in person, but he said he was really busy. Didn't think much of that either. THIS IS THE PART THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE~~Later when we arrived at the concert and as I looked down at the band, LO and BEHOLD, there was the same guy playing the guitar that was at the bar at Outback that said he didnt know who RF was! Both Kirsten and her BF said it was him too. I was flabbergasted. Now i have to know his name and if this was the guy that was at Outback. And no, it wasn't the main guitarist Joe Don or Jay. I'm thinking he was the one who paid our ticket cuz why would the manager pay it when I'm sure he has hundreds of ppl come in for b'days all the time. I picked up my VIP tickets today at the VBCC ticket office! 5th row! I asked them about the start time, and it is 8:00 pm. Also..KristenBP...you can bring cameras into the Arena. I went to see Keith Urban, a few months go, and they asked not to bring cameras with the long lens on them. I would advise anyone that is coming, to get there early, there is lots of construction on the exterior of the complex. Can't wait to see them!
